HALF-DAY SERVICE

Approximately Four Hours

Includes all items from the Basic Service with greater attention to areas of need; specific attention is given to the piano mechanism (the action) which is calibrated and adjusted to improve power, speed of repetition, dynamic range and to provide an even and controllable touch.

FULL-DAY SERVICE

Approximately Eight Hours

Includes all items from the Half-Day Service with greater emphasis on the piano hammers and overall tone of the instrument. In conjunction with action work, the hammers are "voiced" through shaping and adjusting the relative density of the felt. This service is specifically geared towards high-end pianos, and clients that require concert-level regulation and voicing.

REBUILDING & RESTORATION

COMPLETE ACTION REGULATION & VOICING

Includes any and all work associated with restoring a piano action to "normal" functionality with the existing parts. Recommended for pianos that have not had any routine maintenance or service. This is a multi-day project and will require the piano action to be transported to and from the home.

ABOUT US

About

A Los Angeles native, Neema Pazargad began playing and performing piano at the age of six. Born to Iranian parents with a love of music and the arts, he began his studies under Claudine Perriere and Sheldon Steinberg. Winner of numerous awards in solo and collaborative piano performance, Neema attended University of Denver's Lamont School of Music and California Institute of the Arts, specializing in solo and collaborative piano studies. Outside of the music industry, Neema has nearly a decade of business management and construction experience, having been an active partner in the family business of general engineering contracting and public works construction.

Neema began his career in piano technology in 2010, quickly learning his way around pianos under the mentorship of Alan Eder, Richard Davenport and Kevin Stock. Neema was exceedingly fortunate to spend nearly ten years studying the craft of piano rebuilding, and high end piano service under the close tutelage and guidance of Richard Davenport.  Neema has now firmly established himself in the industry, maintaining relationships with piano manufacturers, dealers, and rebuilders. He has successfully completed training courses with Fazioli, Shigeru Kawai, Yamaha, Renner, and Steinway & Sons, and has attended factory-training sessions at the Steinway & Sons factory in New York and the Fazioli Pianoforti factory in Sacile, Italy.

As an independent technician, Neema has provided concert technician services for many of Los Angeles's most important performance venues including the Microsoft Theater, Geffen Playhouse, Broad Stage, Alex Theater, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Bing Theater, The Soraya, Universal Studios, Warner Brothers Studio and Fox Studios. He has worked closely with a wide range of world-class classical, jazz, pop, and rock artists such as Yuja Wang, Emanuel Ax, Garrick Ohlsson, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Vadym Kholodenko, Vijay Iyer, Aerosmith, Stevie Wonder, Dave Weckly, Harry Connick Jr, Yefim Bronfman, Wynton Marsalis, Lady Gaga, and Tony Bennett, among others.

Neema has been closely affiliated with The Colburn School since 2011 and currently serves as Director of Piano Technology.
